Carrier-Klimarent-2
Agreement signed: Otto de Bont, UTC Climate Controls & Security (standing) with Klimarent management (l to r) Cor de Gans, Arjan de Priester and Marco Vierhout

NETHERLANDS: Carrier Airconditioning Benelux has expanded its air conditioning and refrigeration leasing activities with the acquisition of Dutch firm Klimarent BV.

Founded in 2001, Klimarent is said to have rapidly gained a reputation for outstanding service in the field of solving temporary climate among its customers in the Benelux countries. The Klimarent brand will be preserved and its current management retained to collaborate with Carrier to develop the leasing activities in the Benelux.

With its headquarters in Oudewater, Klimarent has a further six branches in the Netherlands and one in Willebroek, Belgium.

In a statement, Carrier said the acquisition fitted perfectly with its strategy to support its customers HVAC demands. This includes delivery of new equipment, service and maintenance, parts sales, control, monitoring and the use of temporary cooling and/or heating.
