22nd October 2026
USA: Carrier has announced plans to invest more than $600m over the next three years in a new advanced manufacturing and engineering centre in Fort Worth, Texas.
The plant is being built on the 27,000-acre AllianceTexas industrial and commercial mixed-use development to the north of the city. Carrier is expecting to begin operations from this facility of over 1,000,000ft2 (93,00m2) in 2027. The investment will create 1,500 advanced manufacturing, engineering and other jobs.
The investment is said to support record backlog levels driven by strong demand across data centres, healthcare, education, industrial markets and other key verticals.

In a statement, the company said: “This investment supports Carrier’s commercial momentum, expanding the company’s US manufacturing capacity for advanced thermal management systems, including air- and water-cooled commercial chillers, and helping customers meet growing demand for intelligent climate and energy solutions across data centres, healthcare, education, industrial markets and other key verticals.”
“By expanding our US manufacturing and engineering footprint, we are increasing capacity for critical technologies, strengthening supply chain resilience and creating high-quality jobs,” commented Carrier chairman and CEO David Gitlin.
