Carrier Refrigeration opens Russian facility

RUSSIA: Carrier Commercial Refrigeration has opened a new assembly facility in Leshkovo to produce its latest range of Evolution 6 refrigerated multideck cabinets.

This will include the new MenEco vertical chiller and Mendos open multi deck from the Evolution 6 range with the opportunity to expand to include more cabinet types in the near future.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Svilen Petkov, managing director, Carrier Refrigeration Rus, said: “Five years ago, we started our business here with only 15 employees, but today, as we start the production of Carrier’s latest product line of refrigerated cabinets, we have more than 60 employees. We continue to drive the transformation of the Russian food retail industry to help it become more modern, efficient and environmentally sustainable.”

“This strategic investment positions Carrier at the heart of a very dynamic segment and will allow us to better serve our customers,” said Thierry Jomard, president, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration, Europe.  “We are starting with one product range – our newest multideck cabinets – with the opportunity to expand to include more cabinet types in the near future.”
