Climalife plant to reclaim complex refrigerant blends

FRANCE: Climalife has laid the foundation stone for a new refrigerant distillation plant at the Osiris industrial park in Péage-de-Roussillon, Isère, southern France.

Dubbed a circular economy centre of excellence, the new facility will enable the treatment and purification of complex multi-component refrigerant blends. It will maximise recovery efficiency and support circular use, the company says.

Climalife’s refrigerant regeneration business was previously based at Bry-sur-Marne.

The new unit, equipped with three of the latest-generation distillation columns, will have a processing capacity of more than 500 tonnes per year. Climalife asserts that with its new patented technology nearly 80% of the waste currently destined for incineration can be recovered.
