CoolSys buys energy solutions firm Axiom

USA: CoolSys, the US group of refrigeration and HVAC companies, has acquired Axiom Energy Solutions.

Based in Savannah, Georgia, Axiom, a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions, will be merged with CoolSys Energy Solutions to serve energy optimisation customers nationwide. Both companies offer expertise and services within the retail grocery sector.

“Our acquisition of Axiom combines the power of two of the industry’s leading EO companies together into one unified energy solutions business that broadens our services portfolio and the value we bring to our customers across multiple market segments,” commented Adam Coffey, president and CEO of CoolSys.

Axiom offers customised solutions to address the energy, sustainability and compliance needs for companies across a range of industries including supermarkets, non-food retail, convenience stores, hospitality, healthcare and education.

CoolSys and its operating businesses offer design, installation, optimisation, maintenance, service and repair. Headquartered in Southern California, CoolSys operates with more than 1,400 field-based service and installation experts serving the daily needs of more than 3,500 customers across North America.

Over the past two decades, Axiom claims to have implemented more than $750m in energy projects, installed and managed more than 20,000 facilities, designed more than 2,000 lighting systems and installed more than 1.7 million fixtures in facilities for its clients. Additionally, they claim to have saved its customers over $2.1bn in accumulated energy costs.
