Daikin opens third factory in India

INDIA: Daikin has now officially opened its new 300,000m2 air conditioner factory in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, southern India.

The Sri City factory is Daikin’s third major factory in India. It complements the company’s two existing factories located in Neemrana, Rajasthan, northern India, and will produce residential air conditioners and compressors.

“This plant will significantly increase Daikin’s production capacity and further solidify its commitment to growth in India,” said Daikin Air Conditioning India president Kanwal Jeet Jawa.

Daikin plans to export products from its facilities in India to regions with high ambient temperatures and similar climatic conditions, such as neighbouring countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

The company has approximately 100 production bases around the world and operates in more than 170 countries.
