Daikin opens third R&D centre in India

INDIA: Daikin India has officially opened a new 24,000m2 R&D centre in Neemrana, its third such facility in the country.

The new R&D centre boasts 22 new test labs and will employ more than 500 engineers dedicated to developing products in line with energy standards, technology and refrigerant for Indian and global customers.

Established with an investment of $58m, it is Daikin’s third development centre, alongside already an existing mechanical R&D lab in Neemrana and an AI-IOT lab in Hyderabad.

“This state-of-the-art facility is designed not only to create products that meet the unique needs of Indian consumers but also to drive the development of sustainable and environment-friendly technologies for global markets,” said Daikin India chairman and MD Kanwal Jeet Jawa.
