Daikin scoops five IF Design awards

Daikin’s new Altherma 3 R32 heat pump won two awards

GERMANY: Daikin air conditioning, heat pump and control products have scooped five awards at this year’s IF Design Awards.

The iF Design Award is among the largest and most prestigious design competitions in the world. Organised by the world’s oldest independent design organisation, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, the annual award scheme is now in its 65th year. Over 6,400 entries were submitted from 54 countries this year. The awards were judged by a 63-strong panel made up from independent experts from all over the world.

Daikin’s recently announced third generation low temperature heat pump Daikin Altherma 3 is the first air-to-water heat pump to use R32.

The compact wall-mounted Stylish air conditioner is another new introduction, again using R32, and boasting efficiencies up to A+++ for both heating and cooling.
