Danfoss e-commerce website wins award

DENMARK: Danfoss’ new e-commerce website has won the company an award as the best Danish business-to-business company on the internet.

Described by judges of the Danish E-commerce Association awards as “jaw-droppingly good”, the company’s new webshop is currently being rolled out on a country-by-country basis over 2018 and early 2019.

“It’s companies like yours that are helping to create growth and jobs in Denmark. You are heroes,” said Brian Mikkelsen, Danish minister for industry, business and financial affairs at the awards ceremony in Copenhagen. Twenty Danish companies had been nominated for the prize.

Delighted at the award, Bo Hougaard Kramer, head of digital experience, said: “At the heart of our efforts was the aim of increasing customer loyalty by making it easier for them to do business with us. What we have put in place is improved access to the information that facilitates a purchase. In addition, we have improved the options for tracking orders after the order has been placed.”

Danfoss’ e-commerce site is said to be the result of efforts by all parts of the Danfoss business and 30 IT consultants, developers and project managers from all over the world.
