NORWAY: Swiss investment and asset management firm White Summit Capital is to invest up to €100m in Aneo Retail, alongside Danfoss, to scale energy-as-a-service for European food retailers.
White Summit Capital has committed up to €100m of long-term infrastructure capital to support future growth, alongside the continued commitment of Danfoss and existing shareholders HitecVision and TrønderEnergi.
Aneo Retail’s energy-as-a-service model enables food retailers to modernise their refrigeration and energy infrastructure without major upfront investments. Aneo Retail takes responsibility for financing, delivering, operating and continuously optimise the systems throughout the contract period.
The partnership will support continued growth across the Nordics and Aneo Retail’s ambition to build a leading energy-as-a-service platform for food retail in Europe.
The collaboration with Danfoss, which began in 2025, continues as a strategic technology and commercial partner, contributing expertise in refrigeration, controls, digital services and energy optimisation. White Summit Capital will provide the dedicated long-term infrastructure capital to support portfolio growth and the deployment of solutions for Aneo Retail’s customers.
HitecVision will continue to contribute its experience in company building and scaling growth businesses. TrønderEnergi, a leading Norwegian energy and infrastructure company, is committed to the Nordic energy transition and will continue to leverage its industrial heritage and energy-market expertise to this effort.
“Scaling energy-as-a-service requires more than technology alone. It requires commercial models and long-term capital that enable customers to modernise their infrastructure,” said Anthony Gauchier, VP, strategy, M&A, and service business at Danfoss Climate Solutions.
“Through our collaboration with Aneo Retail, we bring refrigeration technology, controls, digital services and energy optimisation expertise together to help food retailers improve performance without major upfront investment.”
