Electrolux fridge production is less Chile

SWEDEN: The Electrolux Group has announced the closure of its refrigeration production line at its factory in Santiago, Chile, with production being transferred to “other locations”.

Electrolux says the  increased global use of modular product platforms was a contributory factor in the decision and will allow it to improve efficiency and sharpen the local product offering. 

Last year, the company announced investments to modernise and expand its refrigeration products facility in Anderson, South Carolina. The expansion will be complete and production will begin this year.
