Emerson hosts free CO2 webinar

28820228_sUSA: Recognising the increasing interest in CO2, Emerson Climate Technologies is to host a webinar to explore the implications of a CO2-based refrigeration system.

Emerson says the webinar will look at a CO2-based refrigeration system from a service technician’s perspective and help technicians prepare to effectively deal with the refrigerant’s unique properties.

Having demonstrated favourable results in different system configurations, particularly in Europe, Australia and Canada, Emerson recognises that the initially high investment costs are now on a downward trend, while innovations in component technology and application methods continue to reveal potential performance gains. “These results have ensured that CO2 will be a long-term option in the foreseeable future,” says the US manufacturer.

Andre Patenaude will present the webinar

The free webinar, entitled Seven Keys to Servicing CO2 Systems, will be held from 2-3pm EDT on Tuesday, July 14.

Topics to be covered include dealing with the high pressure of R744; how to improve CO2 system efficiencies in warm ambient environments; understanding R744’s critical and triple points; managing power outages; dealing with the standstill pressures of R744; preparing service technicians with the proper equipment; cylinder storage, charging and maintenance best practices.

The webinar will be presented by Andre Patenaude, director, CO2 business development of Emerson Climate Technologies.
