Engie acquires Australasian contractors

AUSTRALIA: Engie, parent company of French contractor Cofely Axima, has acquired the Australian TSC Group, which includes hvacr contractors Trilogy Building Services and Cowley Services.

The Group, through its subsidiary Cofely, previously held a 20% stake in TSC.

Following on from last week’s announcement of the purchase of fellow French contractor Nexilis, this latest deal expands the company’s interests in Australia and New Zealand.

“This transaction fits perfectly within the Engie development in energy services in Asia Pacific. It allows us to expand our business particularly in Australia and New Zealand,” said Jérôme Tolot, deputy CEO of Engie in charge of branches Energies and Energy Services Europe.

Established in 1970, Trilogy Building Services has its head office in Sydney and operates from 13 branches across Australia.

Cowley Services provides similar services in New Zealand. Established in 1956, it operates through 10 branches across the country.
