EPEE offers EPBD guidelines

BELGIUM: EPEE has produced a new explanatory document to clarify key aspects of Europe’s amendments to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), which entered into force in July 2018.
The free-to-download document provides details on the measures to be implemented as well as recommendations on good practices to be used in order to harmonise the interpretation of this piece of legislation across EU member states.
The EPBD provides a legal framework to continue pushing efforts at national level to tap into the huge potential for efficiency gains in the building sector.
The EPEE document seeks to clarify five key aspects of the EPBD: servicing and maintenance through inspections; building automation and controls; promoting the uptake of European Standards; full-load and part load conditions; high-efficiency alternative systems. It provides details on the measures to be implemented as well as recommendations on good practices to be used in order to harmonise the interpretation of this piece of legislation across EU member states.
