Epta wins German Design Award

RevUP

German-Design-Award-logoGERMANY: Epta’s RevUP display technology, as applied to its Costan and Bonnet Névé cabinets, has won the Retail category prize at the 2016 German Design Awards.

The new presentation concept for the refrigerated section of supermarkets and food stores, the RevUP line of cabinets is said to be capable of furnishing an entire sales outlet with a single family of products.

The German Design Awards are organised by the German Design Council. The winners are decided by a jury composed of a pool of experts, coming from all over the world.

The judges described the RevUp Family as a highly-modern goods presentation concept. “The minimalist design of the cabinets with their large doors and generous glass surfaces offers a high standard of usability – both in terms of removing items and restocking – as well as good visibility of the products,” the jury said in a statement. “Innovative composite materials reduce environmental damage and ensure a low level of energy consumption. It’s a sophisticated concept which impresses with great usability and a modern aesthetic.”

The RevUP technology was launched by Epta at Euroshop 2014.
