Fire destroys Dutch training school

NETHERLANDS: One of the leading Dutch air conditioning and refrigeration training schools was destroyed by fire last night.

The ROVC Technische Opleidingen BV building on the Galvanistraat in Ede is reported to have burned almost completely to the ground.

The fire was first reported around 23.00 on Tuesday evening and not brought under control until 03.45 this morning. There was no one in the building at the time.

A message on the school’s website expressed shock at the fire and assured students it was doing everything it could to reschedule exams planned for this week.

Founded in 1970, ROVC provides a range of technical engineering training for more than 13,000 people a year.
