GERMANY: The Forschungsrat Kältetechnik, Germany’s influential Research Council for Refrigeration Technology, has elected a new board.

Guiding its activities for the next two years will be new chairman Wolfgang Bock, product manager of Fuchs Lubricants Europe with Monika Witt, managing director of Th Witt elected as his deputy.

Other board members are Felix Flohr, assistant lecturer at University for Applied Science Hannover and a researcher at Solvay Fluor and Roland Handschuh, senior marketing expert at Güntner.

The Forschungsrat Kältetechnik was founded in 1957 in Karlsruhe and funds research to advance technological and scientific research and its practical effects in the field of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technology.

The newly elected board now looks to guide upcoming research activities which will include energy efficiency and technological developments related to the implementation of the new F-gas regulations.

The Council’s Research Advisory Board includes Ceslovas Kizlauskas of GEA Küba, Michael Elsen of Kreutzträger Kältetechnik, Christoph Brouwers of Carrier Kältetechnik Deutschland, Dr Achim Gotterbarm of Wieland-Werke, Dr Heinz Jürgensen of Bitzer, Christian Puhl of Fuchs Europe and Alexander Wirsching of TEKO.
