Fridge contractor dies following “pipe explosion”

ITALY: A refrigeration contractor is reported to have died last night as the result of an “explosion” while carrying out maintenance on a cold room in Fondi, Italy.  

Local media reports that Alfredo Gentile, owner of local contracting business Frigoterm, died after what has been reported as “a high-pressure pipe malfunction”, although the exact cause of the incident is still being investigated. 

Local media reports that Alfredo Gentile, the 64-year-old owner of local contracting business Frigoterm, died instantly at the site of Martone Logistica, a refrigerated storage and distribution company. His son, who worked with his father in the family business, was seriously injured.
