Fridge maker adds Italian style

D&G-fridge

ITALY: A collection of limited edition fridges decorated by artists from luxury Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana caused a stir last week at one of Italy’s leading furniture shows.

Domestic fridge manufacturer Smeg revealed its special models at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2016 in Milan.

Described as collectors’ pieces, the fridges were hand-painted using Sicilian patterns and images, by artists working under the creative direction of designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

The limited edition of 100 Smeg FAB28 fridges are expected to sell for as much as €30,000.
