Geißdörfer is new Ebm-Papst chairman

GERMANY: Dr Klaus Geißdörfer is to take over as chairman of the board of management of fan and motor manufacturer Ebm-Papst Group on November 1.

Geißdörfer was most recently MD at One Logic, a leading data science and artificial intelligence company. From 2016 to 2020, he was executive vice-president head of the Industrial Technology Division of the technology group ZF Friedrichshafen AG in Passau. Prior to that, Geißdörfer held various management positions for the automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler for over 13 years, including as a member of the industrial management and chairman of the industrial applications division.

He replaces Stefan Brandl who resigned this year after 30 years with the Mulfingen-based company.

Thomas Wagner will now resume the position of deputy following his planned interim management of the company.
