GT Phelan to distribute Samsung
20th January 2016IRELAND: Air conditioning distributor GT Phelan has agreed a partnership deal with Samsung, covering product distribution, support and training in Ireland.
Derek Phelan, sales director of GT Phelan, a long-standing Toshiba distributor, told Building Services News: “Because of recent market developments the discussions with Samsung were ideally timed and, given the extent and quality of the Samsung range, we see it as a perfect match to our current portfolio.”
Charles McAlpine, air conditioning sales manager at Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland, commented: “Samsung enjoys a global reputation as a renowned brand delivering quality and performance. Together with this new dedicated support channel through GT Phelan, we know that we’ll be well received in Ireland.”
Under the new deal, GT Phelan expect to benefit from Samsung’s air conditioning offering which this year will include the introduction of a brand new 360° circular cassette unit and the DVM S Eco 14HP – the new 40kW side-discharge VRF air conditioner. Samsung’s air-to-water heat pumps are not included in the agreement.
