Hitachi to launch European R32 units

EUROPE: Hitachi has become the latest major air conditioning manufacturer to announce the European launch of units operating on the lower GWP refrigerant R32.

Following this month’s R32 launch announcement by Mitsubishi Electric, Hitachi has released details of the availability of a new R32 wall-mount amongst its RAC products for 2017.

The new R32 units in four sizes from 1.8kW to 5kW are being added to Hitachi’s Summit range. Said to be designed for ease of installation and maintenance, the units are also said to achieve extremely low sound levels.

Hitachi’s R410A Performance range has also been refreshed with three new models – 1.5kW, 1.8kW and 2.5kW – and Hitachi’s 4-Way-Swing function.

A new R410A S-Series wall-mount range will also be introduced, along with the Hi-Kumo wifi controller.

The new 2017 RAC product ranges will be available from April.
