Hoshizaki acquires Italian ice maker Brema

NETHERLANDS: Hoshizaki is to acquire all the shares of the Brema Group SpA, the Italian manufacturer of commercial ice makers.

The acquisition is being made through Hoshizaki Europe Holdings, the European subsidiary of the Japanese commercial food and beverage services equipment manufacturer

Established in 1985, Brema has been actively expanding its business in Italy as well as in Southern Europe, Eastern Europe and Middle Eastern countries.

Hoshizaki says it sees the addition of Brema’s “value-priced” products complementing its high end ice making range. The company also says it will continue to invest aggressively in global businesses, including M&A, with the aim of becoming the global No 1 company in the foodservice industry.
