India levies anti-dumping duties on Chinese R134a
26th December 2025
INDIA: The Indian government has imposed anti-dumping duties on imports of R134a refrigerant from China.
Investigations by India’s Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) found that R134a was being exported to India from China at lower prices, resulting in dumping causing material injury to the domestic industry through price undercutting,
Depending on supplier, the duties, ranging from $4,423 to $5,251 per tonne, are applicable only when the landed value is below domestic prices.
India began investigations into allegations of R134a refrigerant dumping last year after representations from SRF, India’s sole R134a manufacturer.
The Indian government previously imposed anti-dumping duties on Chinese R32, R410A and R407C in 2021 after representations from SRF.
