Japan domestic ac shipments hit record high

JAPAN: A hot summer provided a boost to Japanese residential air conditioner shipments in 2018, increasing by 9.4% year-on-year to JPY790.9bn ($7.2bn) in 2018.
The number of units increased by 8.1% to 9.65 million, the third consecutive year of growth.
