Jon Seeley: “will drive further growth, innovation and business development across all of the Seeley entities”

AUSTRALIA: Air conditioning manufacturer Seeley International has appointed Jon Seeley, son of founder and executive chairman Frank Seeley, as group managing director.

In a company statement, Frank Seeley stated that as a result of the rapid growth experienced over the past few years and the increased diversity and breadth of its operations, the shareholders and the board saw a need to look to the future in establishing a more robust corporate structure to drive the goal of developing a $1bn company.

Jon Seeley, who has been an executive director of the company for some years, “will drive further growth, innovation and business development across all of the Seeley entities,” the statement says.

In this newly-created role, Jon Seeley is expected to draw upon his broad financial management and mergers and acquisitions experience.

This is seen as complementary to the work being conducted by long-serving managing director Paul Proctor to grow the successful global air conditioning business.

“Jon Seeley will also continue to oversee the development of recently formed companies as well as future acquisitions, to ensure the realisation of Seeley International’s growth strategy,” the statement says.

“We intend to accelerate that growth by leveraging the increased benefit which will result from Jon Seeley and Paul Proctor working together and leading our already exceptional management team and staff towards our goal,” commented Frank Seeley. “This will enable us to take on even greater challenges in the expansion of both our product and service offerings into national and international markets.”
