Lack of ac linked to 30 deaths
JAPAN: A lack of air conditioning may have contributed to the heat-stroke deaths of around 30 people in Tokyo so far this summer.
With more than 4,000 people said to be seeking medical attention for heat stroke across Japan last week, reports by the 12newnow website say that, in Tokyo alone, at least 33 people have died of heatstroke this summer.
Of 31 who died indoors, most had had no air conditioning in their homes or they were not using it.
