Lombello to MD at Carel

ITALY: Refrigeration controls and humidification company Carel has promoted group sales and marketing director Giandomenico Lombello to managing director, replacing Francesco Nalini, who will continue as CEO. 

Lombello graduated in electronic engineering from the University of Padua. After four years in the biomedical sector, he joined Carel in 1988 where he held various positions within the group and becoming sales and marketing director in 2008.

Francesco Nalini has been managing director since 2005, taking on the CEO responsibility in 2017.

Giandomenico Lombello: moving up to MD at Carel

In his new role, Giandomenico Lombello will report directly to the CEO, and will play a general role in the direction, management and coordination of corporate operational process activities and functions. 

Carel says the the appointment is aimed at “strengthening the administrative structure of the group, at guaranteeing lasting support for the management of the business and strong protection for operational processes in a period of high growth for Carel”.
