Manufacturers invited to join ME assessment

UAE: Manufacturers of air handling units and fan coil units have been invited to join the working group of new Middle East assessment schemes.

The joint working group is being created following an agreement between the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) and Eurovent Middle East to jointly develop conformity assessment schemes for air handling units and fan coil units. Both organisations are said to be eager to increase collaboration and establish regular meetings to work on technical specifications for new conformity assessment schemes.

Abdullah Hassan Al Muaini: “The Council is keen to research and apply quality standards and regulations”

Speaking of the tie-up, Abdullah Hassan Al Muaini, executive director of conformity scheme services at QCC, said: “The Council is keen to research and apply quality standards and regulations to the highest international standards, ensuring that manufacturers, suppliers and traders in this sector comply with these standards. Our partnership with the association will help to ensure transparency in the HVAC industry.”
