Mauritius is 84th nation to ratify Kigali Amendment

MAURITIUS: As one of the small island states recognised as being highly vulnerable to climate change, Mauritius has become the 84th nation to ratify the Kigali Amendment.
The Republic of Mauritius consists of a main island, Mauritius, and a group of small islands scattered in the South West Indian Ocean.
The Kigali Amendment was adopted by 197 countries in 2016. Under the agreement, countries commit to cut the production and consumption of HFCs by more than 80% over the next 30 years.
