Mitsubishi Electric buys Dutch contracting groups APAC and COMPAC

The APAC Group headquarters in Utrecht

ITALY/NETHERLANDS: Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems (MEHITS) has acquired all shares of the Utrecht-based HVAC sales, installation and maintenance company APAC Group and its sister company COMPAC.

APAC Group is an established MEHITS distributor in the Netherlands and has experience in the design, sales, installation and maintenance of cooling systems and raised flooring for data centres. Meanwhile COMPAC Group handles sales, installation and maintenance of commercial applied air conditioning systems.

APAC was founded in 1987 and has around 55 employees. The group includes APAC Airconditioning BV, APAC Service BV and APAC-Raised Floors BV. COMPAC was founded in 2014 and includes COMPAC Group BV and COMPAC-Services BV.

The two companies have a combined annual turnover of approximately €22m.

MEHITS says that, upon completion, the new organisation under current APAC MD Peter de Bruijn and the existing management team will act as a hub for the development of the applied business in the Netherlands, enhancing local market coverage and enabling a more integrated approach across sales, engineering and service.

In addition, the co-operation with its existing Dutch contracting business, Crystal Air, will further strengthen service capabilities in the country and enhance responsiveness.
