Mitsubishi Electric expansion in Thailand
THAILAND: Mitsubishi Electric is to build a new JPY10bn (€70m) distribution centre to increase output from its residential air conditioning plant in Thailand.
According to the Nikkei Asian Review, the 100,000m² centre will be near its factory in Chonburi Province as a hub for exports to Asia and Europe.
Mitsubishi Electric will move product from the factory and four third-party warehouses to the new hub, which is due to open in July. It estimates that centralising inventory management will save JPY600m (€4.3m) a year.
