Panasonic takes to the air

Sky_series

VIETNAM:  Panasonic air conditioning is taking to the air this month following a branding deal with the Vietnamese airline Vietjet Air.

The first first aircraft to carry the Panasonic branding – an A320 Airbus – arrived at Tan Son Nhat International airport from Toulouse, France, on Friday.

The campaign, which emblazons Panasonic’s SKY Series – an air conditioner sold in the Far East – across its fuselage, marks the first time an electronics brand has engaged in this type of advertising.

VietJet was the first privately owned new-age airline to be established in Vietnam, being granted its initial approval to operate by the Vietnamese Minister of Finance in November 2007. As of its launch in December 2011, it became the second private airline to offer domestic service in Vietnam, as well as the fifth airline overall to offer civil domestic flights.
