Produal acquires Zone Controls

Produal copyFINLAND: Building controls manufacturer Produal has acquired Swedish competitor Zone Controls.

Founded in 1990 by Rolf Strand, Zone Controls AB develops and manufactures electronic control systems for heating, cooling and VAV systems. From its factory and headquarters in Västerhaninge, south of Stockholm. The company produces more than 150 different standard solutions ranging from analogue thermostats to digital indoor climate control systems.

Produal Oy was established in 1987 in Kotka, Finland. In addition to Finland, the company’s products are available through retailers in several European and Asian countries.

Produal Sverige AB, founded in 1997, is Produal’s Swedish subsidiary, which has an established position in the Swedish market. Produal has subsidiaries also in Denmark and France. Produal’s majority owner is the Finnish private equity firm Vaaka Partners.
