Sales teams to sell Hoshizaki and Gram

The Hoshizaki Ecostandard commercial brand will be phased out, with both Gram and Hoshizaki sales teams selling the Snowflake range

NETHERLANDS: Hoshizaki is to phase out its Ecostandard refrigeration equipment range as part of a move which will see Hoshizaki and Gram sales teams selling both original brands in the future.

The move, which will become effective from January 1, was announced at last month’s HOST show in Milan by Gram md Ole Brandorff-Lund and Hoshizaki Europe md Jeff Basolis. The decision for Hoshizaki and Gram sales networks to promote and sell both brands is said to have been taken to remove any potential ambiguity within the European marketplace.

Hoshizaki Europe acquired Danish competitor Gram for £42m in 2008. Hoshizaki is best known for its ice makers, bins, dispensers and sushi cases, the majority of which are manufactured in Telford, UK.

With a history dating back to 1901, Gram is best known for it premium refrigeration equipment including commercial cabinets and counters, bakery and process equipment. All products are designed and manufactured in Vojens, Denmark.

With Hoshizaki’s Ecostandard refrigeration range being phased out, both sales networks will now offer Gram’s Snowflake refrigeration range.
