Seychelles signs Kigali amendment

SEYCHELLES: The Seychelles, the archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, off East Africa, has become the 80th country to ratify the Kigali Amendment to phase down HFCs.
Relying heavily on tourism and fishing, climate change is having a direct impact on the country and the livelihoods of its residents.
Under the Kigali Amendment, adopted by 197 countries in 2016, countries have committed to cut the production and consumption of HFCs by more than 80% over the next 30 years.
