Spain backs World Refrigeration Day

SPAIN: The Spanish refrigeration association AEFYT has added its backing to the growing support for World Refrigeration Day on June 26.

Welcoming the initiative, AEFYT president said: “We hope that the celebration of the International Day of Refrigeration will serve to boost support for all the professionals who work every day for social and industrial development.”

The idea for a World Refrigeration Day was first raised by UK refrigeration consultant Steve Gill as a means of raising the general public’s awareness and understanding of the significant role that refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technologies play in modern life and society.

The idea has been well received by associations from five continents, including the International Institute of Refrigeration, EPEE and AREA, as well as associations and societies from USA, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, Australia, Africa and across Europe.
