Stulz expands US manufacturing

USA: German precision air conditioning manufacturer Stulz is investing $5m in the expansion of its facility in Frederick, Maryland.
The phased expansion at Stulz Air Technology Systems Inc, began in October last year with the acquisition of a neighbouring building. The new 3,800 m² building allowed for an increase in metalworking, a new welding machine and two powder coating lines.
The second phase includes the expansion of the existing production hall and assembly lines.
The expansion and higher capacity is expected to give greater flexibility for future requirements and reduce lead times for the customer. It will also allow Stulz Air Technology Systems to expand its product portfolio.
