Suggitt re-elected president of Eurovent Middle East

UAE: Brian Suggitt, MD of Systemair UAE, has been re-elected as president of Eurovent Middle East, the association of the region’s leading HVACR manufacturers.
Suggitt was elected for a third consecutive term as president at the association’s AGM today at the LeMeridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre.
Under the tagline “Making a difference by driving a change”, Brian Suggitt emphasised energy efficiency, indoor air quality, retrofitting and cold chain security and efficiency as key topics for action during his presidency.
In particular, he called for “fraudulent” cooling products to be “driven out of the market”.
“Seasonal efficiency calculations should finally be introduced in legislation and everyone must work towards utilising the correct gases taking example of the EU F-gas regulation,” he said.
He also maintained that belt-driven fans and FEG fan measurements “should be a thing of the past once and for all”, calling for the premium efficiency standard IE3 to be the minimum requirement for all motors.
