Symposium highlights natural refrigerants

Eurammon-symposiumGERMANY: This years’ Eurammon symposium will highlight current trends and developments in supermarket refrigeration and the retail industry.The symposium entitled Path into a green future – natural cooling in the food and retail industry will take place in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, from June 23-24.

The programme will include an explanation of the European ATEX Directive and its consequences for refrigeration applications employing flammable refrigerants by Carsten Hoch from TÜV Süd; an international overview about the use of CO2 in supermarket refrigeration by Kenneth B Madsen from Danfoss GmbH and the description of a joint project with one of Europe’s biggest discounters by Willy Löffler of Thermofin GmbH. In addition, a representative of the Portuguese hypermarket Chain Contintente will report about the use of ammonia, glycol and CO2 from the operator’s perspective.

An interactive workshop will enable attendees to exchange views and ideas about the future of the food and retail industry with international experts from the refrigeration and air conditioning industry.
