Toshiba Carrier’s European plant begins shipments

POLAND: Shipments have commenced from Toshiba Carrier’s new €23m European manufacturing plant in Poland.

The new 17,700m2 Toshiba Carrier Air-Conditioning Europe (TCAE) factory will manufacture commercial AC, heating, and air-to-water equipment, cutting product lead times for customers in Europe.

Based in Gniezno, in mid-west Poland, the new plant joins other Toshiba Carrier manufacturing bases in Japan, Thailand, China, and India.

Announcing the start of shipments from TCAE, Toru Kubo, president and CEO of Toshiba Carrier, said: “Our aim is to contribute to environmental sustainability through our heat pump technologies as well as contribute to the local community through our business operations at TCAE.”
