Trane/Thermo King factory opens

CZECH REPUBLIC: Ingersoll Rand has opened a new state-of-the-art factory to manufacture and distribute Trane chillers and Thermo King mobile air conditioning systems in Ovčáry-Kolín.

The new site will replace its current factory in Kolín established in 1992.

The facility manufactures Thermo King air conditioning units for bus and rail transportation vehicles for customers around the globe. Trane water terminals and small to medium-sized chillers for commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are also manufactured in this location.

Built on 90,000m² of land, the site consists of 25,000m2 of production and warehouse space and more than 3,400m² of office space, which includes a canteen and medical room. An additional 5,000m² is available for future expansion.

Ingersoll Rand also has a production plant in Uničov, which assembles and tests rotary screw and reciprocating compressors.

The Group also has an engineering and technology centre in Prague Hostivice.
