Trialists sought for new e-learning programme
EUROPE: A limited number of individuals are being sought to take part in a free trial of refrigeration e-learning material being produced as part of the REAL Alternatives programme.
REAL Alternatives is a pan-European multi-lingual learning programme, co-funded by the EU, currently being set up to address the skills shortage amongst acr technicians working with alternative refrigerants (CO2, hydrocarbons, ammonia and HFOs).
The material will cover refrigerant characteristics, safety, efficiency, reliability and containment. The learning programmes will be available in 2015 as innovative blended learning – a mix of interactive e-learning, printed training guides, tools, assessments for use by training providers and an e-library of additional resources signposted by users. The materials will be published in English, French, Italian, German, Polish and Dutch.
Now a select group of technicians, employers and technical experts have the chance to take part in a free trial during September and October by registering your interest with Miriam Rodway at the Institute of Refrigeration.
