Viessmann buys German refrigeration contractor

GERMANY: Refrigeration equipment and systems manufacturer Viessmann has acquired the German contractor Tschritter GebäudeTechnik GmbH.

A family business established in 1979, Tschritter covers all areas of air conditioning and ventilation technology, industrial and commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration and cold store construction, as well as the sale and distribution of refrigerated cabinets. 

“We are delighted that we will now be combining Viessmann’s expertise in refrigeration cabinets, cold rooms and refrigeration systems with Tschritter’s high service orientation,” commented Viessmann’s CEO of refrigeration solutions Frank Winters. “Together we will be able to offer our customers, including food retailers, even more comprehensive turnkey solutions for their needs. The focus is on northern Germany. it is our common goal to further expand the business of the company,”

Oliver Tschritter, son of the company founder Harald Tschritter, will continue to be responsible for the management of the company. He said: ”There is a strong need for refrigeration technology in Germany. Additionally we have the customer request for turnkey solutions from one source. In Viessmann we have found a reliable and strategically important partner to fulfil this easily understandable request extensively.”

Tschritter GebäudeTechnik GmbH is headquartered in Gifhorn, near Hanover. It has more than 80 employees currently work at locations in Gifhorn, Hanover and Ahlbeck.
