Viessmann coating wins Gulfood award

GERMANY: Viessmann’s SmartProtec anti-microbial powder coating has been highly commended at the Gulfood Awards 2015 in Dubai.
The new antimicrobial powder coating, which is said to set new standards in cold room hygiene, received the commendation in the Best Food Service Innovation category of the awards.
The awards, recognising outstanding and pioneering achievements for the food and beverage industries, are presented annually during the Gulfood food and hospitality exhibition.
The SmartProtec powder coating is a standard element of the hygiene package offered by Viessmann TECTO Standard and TECTO Special cold and deep-freezing rooms.
The coating is designed to prevent the formation of biofilms by altering the properties of the internal and external surfaces of the wall, floor and ceiling elements of the cold rooms.
