Advansor combi offers plug-and-play heating and cooling

DENMARK: Advansor has announced the upcoming launch of the ValueBox Combi, a new reversible plug-and-play CO2 heat pump.

Following the launch of ValueBox, the first version of the plug-and-play heat pump in 2024, the new version – the ValueBox Combi – is a reversible model that provides heating and cooling simultaneously.

Supplied as one factory-built and tested unit on a single frame and pre-programmed controllers, the ValueBox Combi could replace oil or gas burners for heating in a wide range of applications in commercial buildings, district heating and factories.

Citing a lack of skilled onsite personnel, Advansor CEO Kristian Breitenbauch commented: “Advansor CO2 plug-and-play heat pumps are based on well-proven technology, require no safety risk management, and are fully assembled and factory tested. You simply just need to connect water and electricity, and you are up and running.

It will be available in capacities from 200kW to 700kW on a single unit and up to 5MW or more in parallel.

By effectively doubling the ∆T, the system can minimise water circulation needs, resulting in substantial energy savings and a potential COP above 5, Advansor claims.

With a temperature profile said to be capable of achieving +40°C water inlet temperatures and +95°C water outlet temperatures and the ability to reuse existing pipes, Advansor insists that ValueBox can effectively replace conventional fossil fuel boilers and chillers with a smaller footprint than a heat pump combined with a separate chiller unit.

“Our CO2 heat pumps are delivered with standardised controllers pre-programmed for heat pump applications, so you do not need additional controls. The MODBUS ensures optimal controlling and monitoring with seamless integration to other systems,” said chief technology officer Kenneth Bank Madsen.
