AK-GC52 controller helps optimise CO2 systems

DENMARK: Danfoss has developed the AK-GC52 CO2, a new solution designed to optimise gas cooler and receiver pressure control in both transcritical and subcritical CO2 applications.
The AK-GC52 regulates gas cooler pressure to help refrigeration systems achieve optimal COP. The controller continuously adjusts gas cooler pressure to maximise COP, while also supporting receiver pressure control, heat recovery functionality, and optimised heat pump operation.
Designed for versatility, the controller can be applied across a broad range of CO2 systems, including transcritical refrigeration systems, heat pumps, heat recovery applications, and chillers. It is also said to support increased cooling capacity during warmer operating periods, helping systems maintain performance when demand is highest.
It also features an extra refrigeration capacity mode for periods of higher cooling demand.
The controller is designed to work with Danfoss ICMTS valves and ICAD actuators, providing precise control of gas cooler pressure while supporting advanced system functionality such as heat recovery and efficient receiver pressure management.
