AxiBlade fan range expanded

GERMANY: EBM-Papst has expanded its AxiBlade refrigeration and air conditioning fans with the new AxiBlade Perform offering higher volume flows.

These axial EC fans are custom designed for applications in refrigeration and air conditioning technology, such as evaporators, condensers, and chillers, while offering increased air performance and flexible installation options.

Available in 860mm and 950mm diameters, the AxiBlade Perform fans incorporate a newly developed plastic wall ring to ensure stable air flow in both delivery directions.

Made from composite material, the fans’ profiled blade geometry, featuring integrated winglets, guide vanes, and a diffuser, are said to achieves high energy efficiency over a wide operating range, while keeping noise at a minimum.

The plug-and-play design ensures quick and easy installation and direct 1:1 replacement of the fans. The new wall ring also provides versatile mounting options – whether used as a flat top, on the suction or pressure side, or in a vertical or horizontal orientation.

Other practical features include the side-mounted terminal box, four pressure taps for differential pressure or volume flow measurement, and preparation for the use of a flow grid, which effectively reduces tonal noise. As an option, a heating band can be installed in the wall ring to prevent ice formation, especially for use in evaporators.

AxiBlade Perform fans support both MODBUS-RTU and the EBM-Papst Nexaira cloud connection.

With IP55 protection, an operating range from -40°C to +60°C, environmental class H2, and a compact design, the new AxiBlade Perform fans are designed for a wide range of applications and demanding environmental conditions.
