Bitzer extends screw compressor applications

GERMANY: Bitzer has raised the standard envelopes of its CSH screw compressors, making them even more energy efficient and suitable for the extended use in large scale industrial heat pumps.

The CSH series can now be operated with R134a, R513A and R1234yf up to a maximum evaporation temperature of 30°C and maximum condensing temperature up to 80°C. With R1234zeE and R515B, maximum temperatures of 40°C in evaporation and 93°C in condensation are achievable.

In economiser operation and with the refrigerant R1234zeE, the largest approved CSH screw compressor supplies around 1,000kW of heating capacity at 35°C evaporation temperature and 80°C condensing temperature.
