UK: A-Gas is to launch a new digital refrigerant management platform to help its customers manage waste, compliance and cylinder activity all in one place.

Launching on October 1, RefHub will be available on mobile and desktop to simplify waste tracking, digitise documentation and provide a complete audit trail.

The Bristol-based refrigerant supply and lifecycle management company is launching RefHub in response to DEFRA’s Digital Waste Tracking Service and the roll out of a central digital system to record all waste movements electronically. The idea is to replace fragmented paper-based records with consistent information that can be shared with regulators. From next month, phase 1 of the requirement will apply to sites that hold the relevant waste permits in England and Wales.

Using RefHub, a simple scan captures cylinder identification, reducing the risk of manual data entry errors. The digital record can be completed before leaving site while details are still fresh, with only job-specific fields requiring updates.

Cylinders are returned as normal, with a fully completed and auditable digital record already in place. Automated data capture and submission support DEFRA-compliant waste tracking, while improving inventory visibility, site reporting, data accuracy and operational efficiency.

RefHub is designed for approved users involved in refrigerant management, including wholesalers, contractors, and other authorised customer organisations. Depending on the users role and permissions, it can manage cylinder inventory, submit digital waste records, track waste movements, manage users and access compliance reporting. 

RefHub is available across web and mobile platforms via desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
